Bristol-Myers Squibb

Awarded 2006/09/26

Bristol-Myers Squibb used the Baraclude® internal launch celebration to raise funds for Hep B Foundation UK.

Award winner

On 26 September 2006, staff at Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) celebrated the launch of the new antiviral drug, Baraclude® (entecavir).  BMS generously decided to use the celebration to raise funds for Hepatitis B Foundation UK and they invited Penny Webb, our Co-ordinator, to the event.

Many members of staff visited our stand and sportingly tried the true/false hepatitis B quiz, as well as buying raffle tickets and Hep B Foundation UK shopping trolley key-rings. As a result of their efforts, the Foundation received the sum of £652.43.

We are very grateful indeed to BMS and its staff for their wonderful support and interest. As a token of our appreciation, BMS has been presented with the first ever Hepatitis B Foundation UK Appreciation Award. Penny Webb, our Co-ordinator, presented the Award to Max Honer, Entecavir Business Management Associate Director Northern Europe, Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals Limited.
