Hi my name is Anil and am dealing with Chronic Hep B, been officially with chronic hep b for nearly 4 years since it was diagnosed but had it a longer period more like 10 to 15 years dating back to when I went to India and has a accident. But here I am now still alive and kicking forgive me for being up beat. My story is very very similar to Simons, been through the same battle of using all the drugs and not working, test after tests and no improvements. I also dreaded the liver biopsies but got through it with the help of friends and family. I am currently on Tenofovir disoproxil which is working and drop my levels of the virus to virtually zero. Now I am battling BUPA and the NHS trying to get the drug paid for costs are not for those who lead a normal life and have bills to pay.

I am been seen to at the London clinic and will transfer to UCL pending the swap from BUPA to NHS as BUPA refuse to pay anymore.

I am writing to ask those who live in near London if anybody wants to meet for a coffee some time in November or December. I enquired with the British liver trust to set up a support group in London with their help and those who want to help out. If any body is interested to meet up and chat about their experience it would be good as I don't know anybody else who has gone through this ordeal.

I will be posting more information on here as this web site is quite supportive. I am currently doing my exams and will be free mid / late November if any body else is wanting to meet up.

Regards

Anil

Hi Anil, pity no one replied ..........Isn't there a support group in London ? Anyone know ??

I live in NL and not much in the way of a support group at all !

This website is so important..

Seems to be the case that a lot of Hep C support groups but much less for Hep B.
