Care pathway for mothers who are hepatitis B positive

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

A sub-group of the National Screening Committee is to start work on developing a care pathway for hepatitis B positive mothers. The group needs a patient representative. She should be someone who is hepatitis B positive, has been through one of this country’s maternity units and has a good command of English, so that she can hold her own in discussions in a committee setting about health service provision. As this group will look at the whole of the ‘patient journey’ through pregnancy and the follow-up of the children, someone who has had children is required. It would be useful if she lives close to London.
