House of Commons Early Day Motion on HBV prevalence in UK

Thursday, January 17, 2008

David Amess MP has submitted an Early Day Motion (EDM) on hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. Click here to read the EDM. You can also scroll down the EDM page and see if your MP has signed it.

If your MP's name isn't there, you could send an email, asking him/her to support people with HBV infection by signing EDM 708.

If you don't know your MP's name and email address, visit http://www.parliament.uk/people/index.cfm and type your postcode in the 'Find your MP' box.

Early day motions are formal motions submitted for debate in the House of Commons. Very few EDMs are actually debated. However, they provide a useful way of drawing attention to specific campaigns, and demonstrating the extent of parliamentary support for a particular cause.
