The Department of Health has asked the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) to carry out a multiple technology appraisal of entecavir and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults with decompensated liver disease. The appraisal is expected to start in approximately early May 2010.
