I was diagnosed with an acute HepB infection last summer (after being infected earlier in the year). By Christmas time I was feeling alright and told that my blood tests were fine.
Since then I have been wondering about sex after an acute infection. Am I a danger to others?

hi bj
sorry for the delay.
are you sure the blood results related to your hbv?
you need to confirm you have hepatitis b antibodies (immunity in your blood) then you are confirmed safe so to speak. I guess that is what i did. I really needed to see the result before I felt uninfectious.
Best regards
paul

Thank you for that Paul.
Will pop in to the sexual health clinic on Monday and get it double double checked, just to be sure.
